This is one of the few games where the player has to actively plan out your movements and constantly be aware of what the enemies are doing, to progress far. Their difficulty/combat mechanics maybe more in line with the effort vs reward you seek. Maybe you should try one of High Moon's Transformer games. I'm sorry that the game doesn't allow you to charge into a crowd of enemies and mindlessly spam the attack button and some how defeat all of them. I mean if you run in there like a chicken with it's head cut off, yeah, the guards will spot you but it is in no way a challenging section. The prison part can be beaten within ~40-50 minutes, including random searching of nooks and crannies, and isn't hard. #The witcher 2 pc controls manualA tutorial which can also be infinitely replayed, and the manual brought up at any time. There's a completely separate tutorial mission, including an unlimited combat practicing arena, and an extensive in-game manual explaining the mechanics of the game. The television adaptation is a far less interesting interpretation of those. So if your complaining that CDP are accurately recreating that effect instead of an arcadey experience, "Because thats how its always been done in the past and dammit I want that experience to never change" maybe you should consider that CDP want to enhance the immersion of videogames and/or have a different artistic experience for their games.Īs someone who likes dark political dramas, and medieval time periods, I found Game of Thrones insufferable as texts. Umm, that is how vision reacts to a sudden shift from relative darkness to bright light in real life. Also, I want an entirely new user interface and a revamp difficulty curve. Very dense and yet with beautiful out doors. ![]() Here its more down to earth : castle, town, war camp, old citadel in ruins but still not out of place. I like how it's more middle age / dark fantasy (again I know nothing about fantasy so don't come and yell at me because it's another kind) and it's more european/historic looking that, let's say, lord of the ring with giant epic citadels. I'm really not into fantasy but I still put 35 hours into Witcher 2. The ending choice was obvious (even I took another save to see the other ending) and wow one is brutal. I especially loved the quest were you had to talk to guys and then with the right information you can dupe a character to solve a quest with no fight just by talking (like that specter and the brown banner in Act 2) and you get awesome loot too. Sure they are super fun and interesting but hey, slashing enemies is more time efficient and arguably more badass. it's super hard at first but quickly enough the game turns really really easy and you don't need all the traps, bomb, daggers, potions and oils to boost you up. Once I read this thread and got a good walkthrough to help for some really shallow side quests, the game became much more enjoyable as I could focus on story and exploration (and not dying and getting lost)įirst, the combat. I have to say, I pushed myself back in to finish Act I. So 35 hours later, I finally finished the game. ![]()
